In the ghetto she was a member of the anti-fascist block, which was set up there and whose task was to help victims of fascism. She fought with her husband in the Old Town area in The People's Army (Armia Ludowa) ranks during the Warsaw uprising. After the Old Town capitulation they went to Zoliborz through the sewers.

Together with I. Cukierman and I. Giterman they asked J. Barski to build barracks for young people, who were getting ready for resistance. They established such a work detail at Zamenhofa Street No. 56 in a building of the Centos (Central Organization for Orphan Care).

Dror and He-Halutz activist. During the war, active in the underground of the Warsaw ghetto; in the ghetto uprising - in the Jewish Fighting Organisation (ZOB) command. She left the ghetto through the sewers. In the Warsaw Uprising, she fought in a People's Army (Armia Ludowa) unit in the Old Town and Zoliborz. After the war, she moved to Israel.

Her father was a shop owner. Cywia completed Polish Primary school. She was engaged in the He-Halutz movement, was Dror's member. In 1928, she moved to Warsaw and there she was active in the He-Halutz central committee. In 1939, she was a delegate to the World Zionist Congress in Geneva. She returned to Warsaw in the end of August. She was in Lvov to January 1940, then she arrived in Warsaw. She constructed the underground resistance organisation in the ghetto. During the uprising, she was in the Jewish Fighting Organisation (ZOB) command. On 10 May, she left through the sewers on the 'Aryan side.' She hid, among other places, at Panska Street No. 5 and Leszno Street No. 18. She participated in the Warsaw Uprising, she fought in a People's Army (Armia Ludowa) unit in the Old Town. After the uprising, she hid in Promyka Street No. 43 and other places. In 1946, she left for the Zionist Congress in Basel and from there, to Palestine. She lived in the Ghetto Fighters House/Beit Lohamey Hagetaot.

After escaping from the ghetto she hid in the hideout at Leszno Street no. 18 at Wojciechowski's (?) among others together with M.Edelman,Rivka Rozenstein, Bernard Goldstein.

From her adolescence, active in youth Zionist-socialistic organisation 'Dror-Freiheit.' She took part in He-Halutz's session in the first days of the Great Action, on which the issue of resistance was discussed. Member of the Jewish Fighting Organisation (ZOB) High Command. She fought in the ghetto and as a member of ZOB took part in the Warsaw Uprising of 1944.
