A prominent Jewish politician of the pre-war Poland, publicist, MP, co-creator of the National Minorities Bloc; from 1925 to 1927 president of the Jewish parliamentary group, president of the Zionist Organisation in Poland. Also known as a barrister, member of the Warsaw Bar Council. In the independent Israel, a high-ranking official of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Indexed fragment of the book concerns the beginning of the occupation in Poland. He left Warsaw with a Palestinian certificate (via Trieste) on 20 December 1939 with his wife. With Czernikow and Weiss, in delegation to general Neumann-Neurode about administration of the ghetto (November 1939).
