For 15 years he worked in Rowinski's factory (currently Schultz's shop). He was popular in the shop. He delivered jewelery and valuables to the authorities for minimal prizes. For 6 thousand zlotys he helped Schmidt to find a job in the shop (September 1942). He stood up for Schmidt during the blockade of the shop and during the selection. His wife and son went to the Umschlagplatz.
