Probably he was a Jewish member of the Gestapo. During the night of 18 and 19 April 1943 Skokowski called him, and said that the ghetto is being surrounded by the Germans. His shelter was completely burnt on 21 April, he and his family got to the Starowiejski's shelter at Swietojesrka Street No. 36. When the Germans found this shelter the Rozenberg family tore and threw away money and valuables so that the Germans do not get them. Mietek allegedly was supposed to show his Gestapo ID, but this time the ID did not help, and he went together with his parents to the Umschlag.
