Legenda przydzieliła mu żydowską kochankę Salę, imię której, pono jak hasło "piękna Sala" miało w swoim czasie służyć do wpuszczania do szmuglu, a w rzeczywistości usłała drogę trupami gdziekolwiek okazał się Frankenstein
