A professor of Physical Chemistry at Warsaw University, killed by the Gestapo

In the ghetto he wrote a book entitled 'Chemia organiczna' [Organic Chemistry]; he organised Chemistry courses in the ghetto; he lectured Physics and Chemistry at Zweibaum's Courses of Sanitary Training; shortly before the action he crossed to the 'Aryan side', he hid at his wife's, who was 'Aryan' and who he had officialy devorced in 1940; turned in by caretaker's son and shot in the wife's flat by the Gestapo; friends bought his corpse from the Gestapo and buried it in the Catholic cemetery under number 301-6574 - testimony written by the professor's daughter Jadwiga Grohman nee Centnerszwer
