Went to the Zeromski gymnasium (junior high school) in Warsaw. His grandparents had the biggest furniture store in the city - MEBLOSTYL, at Bracka Street No. 18. He lived there with his grandparents (Ludwik and Felicja Tenenbaum), his mother (parents were divorced), brother and his mother's siblings (Marek, Bronislawa Frank, Rysia Edelist). His grandmother jumped out of the window when Germans took the furniture from the store (she left a letter saying that she cannot live under German occupation) - 1939 (?). He then lived with his mother, her husband Edward Zakrzewski and his brother at Kredytowa Street No. 2. Lulek escaped to Vienna, died in Buchenwald. His mother and Edward hid on the 'Aryan side'. Edward committed suicide, fearing that he might be taken for a Jew (he had dark hair and was circumcised earlier in order to be allowed to marry Bronek's mother). His mother came back to the ghetto after that. Bronek was a rickshaw man in the ghetto. He and his mother smuggled Jews from Eastern Poland to the Warsaw Ghetto. During the first action they left for Lvov (his mother died in the Janow camp). Bronek hid with his wife in Kopyczynce near Lvov. He smuggled food to the Warsaw Ghetto. Was detained in the Janow camp. Escaped with two friends - Adek Prezman and Jozef Karmazyn. Hid in Warsaw under the name Tadeusz Wierzbolowicz. Produced false documents on a bigger scale. After the war married Krysia (divorced later in Poland). After the war a LOT (Polish Airlines) and Israeli airlines pilot.
