A prewar 'king of steel'. Very rich, he could go abroad many times. He sent only his adult children. He was the head of provisions in the ghetto. In January 1943, he was organising a new Orphanage in Zamenhoffa Street (it was Germans' suggestion). Initially, the Orphanage abounded in food, at night 18-19 January it was liquidated, the children were taken to Treblinka. Gepner and his wife were shot next to the ghetto wall.
