Knitter, deported from the Warsaw Ghetto to Treblinka in July 1942. For two weeks he worked in a command burying dead bodies, he escaped and returned to Warsaw. He was in the ghetto until April 1943, escaped from the train to Poniatow. He hid with his wife on the 'Aryan side' in Warsaw, later he was sent as a Pole to forced labor to Vienna. After the war he was in Lodz, his wife survived Ravensbruck.
