  • Deported from Lodz with her daughter, Rysia, somewhere further than to Cracow. In January 1940 she turned up with Rysia in Warsaw; at the beginning of August after working temporarily in a shop, they both escaped to the 'Aryan side', but Lena was caught, taken to the Umschlagplatz and deported; she died in Treblinka.
