Adam goes to the town hall and throws his papers on the clerks desk. He tells him that they are forged, because he and his wife are members of the underground. He can register them and than Adam will shake his hand as a patriot and gentleman or his people will come and blow the place up.
The clerk congratulates him on his courage and puts him on the legally registered list.
