From mid-September 1942 she stayed at Pawiak as a Haitian citizen's wife. She had left her parents and brother in the ghetto. The experiences during the action and leaving the family had left an indelible mark on her. She said she would like to die as life was of no value to her. As the only one in the group of interned women she behaved indifferently during dangerous air raides.
