The march from the camp to the trains is incredibly hard. People are starved and they don't have the strength to walk. They have to stop every hundred metres to rest.
There aren't enough compartments on the train. They have to hurry or they'll be left behind. David finds a compartment with six women inside. Reluctantly they make place for David's family. Davids takes a spot on the floor. Sophie falls asleep. She is very ill.
The train doesn't move for two days. - 1943-04-07
