Zoska Kersh, who had an 'Aryan' appearance, escaped from the ghetto and worked as a seamstress. Wladka found a place to stay for Zoska at her housekeeper's, at Przemyslowa No. 5. Her only dream was to rescue her brother (the last surviving member of her family), who was in the labour camp in Skarzysko. She wrote with a request to collect money for this aim. The wish was fulfilled. When her brother was supposed to come to Warsaw, she spent a night in the house of a woman who promised to rescue him. Celek spent a couple of nights there. An achievement like this one, involving rescuing a Jew from a labour camp and transporting him to Warsaw by train, was extremely dangerous. Arrested by the Gestapo soon after the happy reunion they were sent to Pawiak, where they died.
