He came from a working-class family, and had a secondary education. In the ghetto at first he worked in a zinc-plating shop, later on in a brushmakers' shop at Walowa Street No. 4. He lost his wife. Ca. 10 May 1943 he joined Sz. Melon's combat group. He hid with Najberg's group. On 14 July he passed with smugglers to the 'Aryan side'. He intended to go to the Hotel Polski, but finally he did not go there. Together with Lizawer and Klojnski they went to Polish acquaintances who lived in Nowowiniarska Street and were never to be seen again.
