Na Umschlagu bankier Goldfeder miał jedno marzenie - chciał wyjść z Umschlagu i popełnić samobójstwo, żeby umrzeć jak człowiek. W budynku Umschlagu kobieta robiła sweter dla syna, z którym chciała się spotkać w Białymstoku.
