Jozef's brother. He was shot while escaping the ghetto. He was standing with his family at the Umschlagplatz when he noticed a hole in the wall. He paid an Ukrainian guard to let him go. The guard agreed but than shot twice in his direction. After staying on the 'Aryan side', Max returned to the ghetto to his brother. He was among those killed in the Warsaw ghetto uprising in April 1943.
