Together with other fighters who survived the ghetto uprising, he hid in the factory of the celluloid films on Praga district of Warsaw ( 11 Listopada Avenue). With his arm broken during the fights in the ghetto he was able to jump out of the window of the burning attic of the factory and hid in the one of the neighbouring houses. He was accepted and hidden by a woman. Suddenly, someone knocked at the door. The woman thinking that it would be Germans hid Meir in the wardrobe. As it turned out, it was a clerk of the electrical company. After the departure of the clerk Meir fell dead out of the wardrobe- probably it was a heart attack.
