He worked together with Schmidt in the same department in K. G. Schultz’s shop. He had a wife and a 12-years-old daughter (his sons were sent to the Umschlagplatz at the beginning of the First Action - the date is uncertain). The wife was sent to the Umschlagplatz before September 1942. He hid his daughter at his place. During the blockade on Yom Kippur 1942, he did not try to hide his daughter, trusting Schultz’s promise that the child would get a number for life. Schultz was absent during the blockade, the daughter was not on the list of survivors. Ehrlich decided to go to the Umschlagplatz together with his child. They managed to get away from there (probably on 10 or 11 October).
