The leaded of a communist group in the ghetto and the editor of the illegal magazine "Wolne Jutro/Morgen Frei." In the ghetto he was a clerk of TOZ (The Society for the Protection of the Health of the Jewish Population in Poland); involved in the underground cultural life. Co-operated with Oneg Szabat. His literary works were found after the war among the documents in the Ringelblum's Archive. After the Great Action he was a member of the Jewish Fighting Organization (ZOB). Took active part in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and died in a shelter at Mila Street.
