    Just before the war he graduated from a Laor gymnasium (junior high school) at Nalewki Street, active member of Haszomer Hacair- instructor and then commander of the unit. In 1939 went to Kolomyja on organizational business, later on was in Wilno. From January 1940 in Warsaw, was active in the underground in Haszomer Hacair and in He-Halutz - he was one of its leaders after the death of Josef Kaplan. In the summer of 1942 he organized self-defence groups in Silesian ghettos. From December 1942 he was a leader of the Jewish Fighting Organization (ZOB). In January 1943 he organized the first military action in the Warsaw Ghetto. Commander in the April Uprising. Died in a bunker at Mila Street No. 18.

    The head of the youth organization Haszomer Hacair in the ghetto. Leader of the ghetto uprising. He already took part in January fights in the ghetto in 1943. Was wounded. Miraculously escaped death. Died during the ghetto uprising. He was 24 years old.
