He escaped with his friends from the ghetto in Miedzeszyn. They got to the forest in Karczew. Other Jews were hiding there. They were armed by the Polish underground. They made their living carrying out "exes" on Germans and obstructive peasants. At the begginig of April 1943 they got surrounded by Germans. Heniek with his two friends got out. They came back to Miedzeszyn, because they wanted to hide at their Polish friends' place. They were denounced and turned in to the police, which handed them over to the Germans - they were shot in the woods.
