  • On the third floor in the attic in a wing there was a flat which could be camouflaged. Probably there had been a hideout before. Henryk with his wife and acquaintance Laski blocked the entrance to the flat from a closet to the attic up to the top with pieces of junk. From the other side they made a whole over the floor so that it was possible to get out of the hideout walking on all fours. The whole was blocked with a cupboard. The camouflage from the outside was good in principle. The hideout consisted of two small rooms with beds, the window faced the square with the view to Gesia Street. Later people on the square learnt about the hideout and started to crowd there. On 11 September 1942 people hiding there were taken out of there by the Germans.
