chairman of the Battalion Commission, managing of the Labour Battalion, later he managed the Department of Labor, the chair of the Jewish Police Commission, Appeals and Complaints Section, member of Law Section Commission; attorney renowned before the war, social activist, Judenrat member in Warsaw, president of the Central Office of Small-Scale Jewish Merchants, several times a candidate to the Parliament of the Polish Republic, he had a cardiac defect; one of the greatest personality in the Warsaw ghetto, he was devoted to social matters, he had a tender hart, he was charming and tactful, during the action he was imprisoned at Pawiak for the longest period of all. 18 January 1943 deported with his family to Treblinka. His wife, daughter and son wanted to hide, but he told them to stand for inspection as he trusted the Germans. He won the heart of the ghetto society.
