An organizer of the underground, a leader of Jewish Fighting Organization (ZOB) on the "Aryan side" (B.T.-B.). An activist of Haszomer Hacair. In 1939 he went to Lithuania, he came back form Warsaw at the turn of 1941 and 1942 with the information about the mass executions on Jews occurring in the east region. He was a ZOB's activist responsible for the contacts with Armia Krajowa (the Home Army). He was arrested in March 1943, which ended contacts with Polish underground. He escaped from the camp in Kaweczyn thanks to the Poles' help. He shot himself in a bunker at Mila Street No. 18 surrounded by the Germans (P.Sz.).
