When the war broke out she was a student of the third year of pedagogy and psychology at Warsaw University. During her husband's absence (he left the city because of Umiastowski's appeal), she lived with her parents at Ogrodowa Street No. 26a. Later on lived with her husband at Leszno Street No. 52. Gave private lessons to Maniusia and Rutka - her uncle's little daughters. In early spring 1942 she joined the Polish Workers' Party (PPR). Was learning how to use a pistol (party training). On 19 July 1942 attended a performance of 'Poczta' in Korczak's Orphanage (her husband worked there). During the First Action she moved in with her brother-in-law Lutek Wojcikiewicz and his son Marianek to a flat in Zamenhofa Street. On 5 August 1942 she saw Korczak going to the Umschlagplatz with his children. Crossed to the 'Aryan side' with her nephew Marianek. In hiding near Wolomin with the child, then she was hiding in Kopczynce with Bronek Kopyto's family. Lives with her husband in Sweden.
