A DROR activist. Edited an underground weekly 'Wiadomosci' in the ghetto. Was an active activist of the Anti-fascist block. Was a member of the editorial staff of 'Der Ruf' (The Call) - the press organ of the block. Later on became one of the leaders of the uprising in Bialystok.
