Talented, from rich house. A student on drawing courses organized for teenagers by the Judenrat in 1941. As a British subject he had the responsibility to periodically report to Gestapo. For a large sum of money he bought Italian birth certificate, registered himself under his own surname but as a Italian citizen, he did not have to wear a band. As a British subject he had to register at the Gestapo in July 1942. He was probably on the list of the people intended for exchange for German POWs.
