    During the First Action he was a Werkschutz in Schultz's shop. He was obsequious for the Germans, and famous for his ruthlessness. The Jewish Fighting Organization (ZOB) made an attempt on Rotholc's life, during which he got injured; he crossed to the 'Polish side'. Before the war he was the Polish box champion and worked as a typesetter. He lived at Marianska Street No. 9 until the outbreak of the war, the author of the testimonies 301-4235 and 301-4659, after the war in Lodz. On 1 September 1939 he was enlisted in the army, on 17 September 1939 captured by the Red Army. He was imprisoned in POW's camp in Kozielsk, then was sent to Lower Silesia to a German camp, he was released and returned to Warsaw to his wife and 3-month-old child. In the ghetto he was a member of the Jewish Police, from the end of 1942 in Werterfassung. He escaped from the Hotel Polski, his wife died on the 'Aryan side'.
