He came from a poor, Hasidic family. At the beginning of the war, he came to Warsaw and was active in He Chaluc Headquarters, he kept in touch with Histadrut Headquarters in Geneva. He was a member of the Jewish Military Union (ZZW), for which he got arms on the 'Aryan side'. In the uprising, he commanded Hanoar Hacyjoni combat group at the brushmakers' shop. He died in the bunker at Walowa Street No. 8, which was blown up. Other insurgents died with Praszker there, including his wife, Roza Mastbaum.
