  • A 15 or 16-year-old girl from Haszomer Hacair, she left the ghetto with her friends at the beginning of April 1943, in order to hide in a monastery (with the help of a Polish woman called Irena Adamowicz). In the street the girls were accosted by three young Polish men. Pnina wanted to defend them and was raped. In the monastery the girls suffered spiritually and missed the Jewish surroundings. They left the monastery and came to the Hotel Polski.
