In autumn 1942 he was a Werkschutz in brushmaker's shop in Bonifraterska Street. Earlier he was a policeman. He married his own sister to protect her. They lived in the brushmakers' shop. He was visiting Nina Szereszewska, bringing her illegal newspapers. Before the war his family started to build a house in Wisniowa Street. When the construction works were stopped, the house had already a basement. In the basement of that house they were preparing a shelter. A caretaker, who guarded the construction works was a trusted man.
