He was a rich man, in the ghetto he supported other writers. Died two days after he had asked paupers to leave him alone. The paupers had been intruding on him. He could not stand listening to their grievances, he told them that if they did not leave him alone they would be escorted to "Gesia Street" (an area outside the city where a cemetary was located).
