On 28 February 1941 she was deported from Tarczyn together with other Jews to the Warsaw ghetto. In the ghetto with her mother, father, two married sisters, married brother and four children of her siblings. They lived in Ogrodowa Street. During the Action they were hiding in the basement. Jochwed worked in the brushmaker's shop. On 28 February 1943 she went to the "Aryan side" with her sister, they were in hiding in villages.
