64 years old; a prominent Talmudic scholar; Akiba Eiger's descendant and the great-grandson of the excellent scholar Salomon Eiger, a great Talmudist, a Talmud commentator, and, at the same time, a leading social activist of Warsaw orthodoxy, which he represented for a long time in Dozor Bozniczy (Synagogues Supervision) in Warsaw. Bl. p.Rabbi Ezriel Majer Eiger was the author of many rabbinic works, “Tkanah Nechcah” among others. Left a lot of works in manuscript.
