A heder student, he also attended a Polish primary school. A Cukunft Skiff activist, then a member of Poale Zion-Left. After the outbreak of the war he tried to get to Warsaw. He was arrested, escaped from the labor camp in Rawa Mazowiecka, then from the camp in Czestochowa. From Lodz he got to the Soviet zone, and soon returned to Warsaw. In the Warsaw ghetto he worked in Landau's factory. On behalf of Poale Zion-Left he organised Jewish Fighting Organisation (ZOB) units. In the uprising he commanded a group at the brushmakers' shop. He left the ghetto through the sewers on 10 May. Then he fought in partisan units, in the woods near Wyszkow. In the Warsaw uprising he fought as a Jewish Fighting Organisation (ZOB) soldier, he died in Zoliborz, in August or September 1944. On 29 April 1945 his corpse was moved to the Jewish cemetery.
