A doctor, SS officer (Standartenfuehrer). He was a member of the Warsaw Gestapo. On 4 November 1939 he made his first attempt to form a ghetto in Warsaw. 'During a Judenrat meeting he read out an alleged order of the Stadtkommandant, general von Neuman-Neurode, concerning gathering the Jews during the following three days on certain streets.'
