W połowie stycznia 42r. ZWW uległo rozwiązaniu, a członkowie zostali przyjęci do PPR. ZWW był popularny wśród wychowawczyń Centosu. Na terenie internatów Centosu kolportowano pismo GL "Gwardzista".
