Miss Demske calls Dawid. She warns him that he must leave the ghetto before the next morning. David calls Wanda and they agree to meet. He leaves the ghetto with a group of warehouse employees. Wanda takes him to her apartment, where he must stay until she gets him some new identification papers.The Germans stormed the ghetto, and deported everyone they could find. They murdered hundreds of Jews and herded thousands to the Umschlagplatz.
