Going through the ruined city was a terrible experience. The German, who lead the group ordered the directions in which everyone should look. He wanted to spare the children the worst sights. But Janina no longer felt like a child and she wanted to look. She saw piles of masacred bodies and burned houses. She wanted to scream, run away as fast as possible.
